CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • Hello, I’m Ronald Gores and I’m new to CONECA

Hello I’m Ronald Gores but I go by Ronnie and my username is ronnieg.
I’ve been collecting coins and paper currencies for about 25 or 30 years.
I have bought coins before, a couple of sets from the U.S. Mint, a few coins from a local yard sales, but I mainly get my coins from change at the local store and coin rolls from my bank. My favorite coin to collect is the cent/penny and my favorite bills to collect are star notes.

I look forward to participating and interacting with members in the forum and I thank CONECA for allowing me the opportunity to do so.

sincerely: Ronald Gores , aka ronnieg

Thanks. And you’re right about interesting finds. I recently found a 2008 penny that looks to me like it could be a muled die clash. At least I’m hoping lol !!
