CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    Possible New rpm error

    Hello I'm new I'd like to introduce myself. My name is James Gordon I'm from Shelbyville IL and I've been collecting coins for about 8 years now. I started out with wheat pennies. And now I'm into everything. I was lucky and came across a 1905-O Barber dime and I believe it to have a re-punched mint mark I was unable to find anything on it on the internet. So I figured I'd post a few pictures here of it and see what others think.

    Well the spacing appears to be right. What I do is, take a piece of scrap paper.... Tick the least dominant middle vertical bar of the "O" and far right curve of the lesser dominant "O".
    Use the second photo above. Then, move the paper over to the same place on the primary bolder mintmark. To me the spacing looks good. I don't have a good reference for these dimes.

      Hard to say definitively with that much wear, but it looks possible.
