CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • new to error coin collecting

Hello, My nickname for short is Ozzy. I just began error coin collecting and my motivation is to find and sell. I am finding a ton of errors in the quarters however the minute details of the penny is quite challenging for me. I kinda know the difference of machine doubling and what a true die doubling is however because I am new at this its tough to tell at times.

As for old coins a have a number of them just waiting to be checked for errors and graded.

    Love to read and learn.

    God Bless

    Welcome aboard.

Just a heads up, one coin per post.
You can upload about 8 photos maximum per initial post.
You can add more photos per each reply to that post.
Size is about 2mb size limit.
The posting area for this forum is about 800 pixels wide, and that seems to work pretty well.
