CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

    Errors???

Hi I’m Nicky! I have a few coins that I’m not sure if they are worth hanging on to or tossing back out. I’ve tried a few times to upload the pictures but it just continues to say error.

    1970 - no FG
    1964 - no FG
    1954s - hanging mintmark
2000 - black pillars between the pillars (reverse)
    1967 - no FG
1969d - no FG, floating roof
1969d - missing partial year, floating roof
1997 - missing partial year and partial motto & liberty
1966 - missing “I” in liberty, “of” & all of “E PLURIBUS UNUM” except for one “u”, and barely there “FG”
1959d - golden honey toned color

………they would all be considered “brown” on the grading color scale, not sure if anyone could help with advice but never know unless you ask!

Check the size of the image files, there is a file size limit (can't recall offhand). You can use MS Paint on Windows to reduce the file size.

First of all, welcome to the forum.

The CONECA staff want people who make posts do one coin per post.
It simplifies the forum and there is less cross talk and confusion.

As a courtesy, I like to let new members know that the CONECA staff frown on coin grade discussions and prices. I myself am a normal member as well, just a state volunteer. The rules are posted, so feel free to review them. I say that to most, to head off any potential issues.

As far as photos, they have to be less than 2mb per photo.
you can have up to 8 in the initial post.
I believe you can add eight more posts per reply.

A good maximum pixel width is 800 or less, that is about the width of the postable area of the forum.

Once you get your photos in order, then you hit the upload attachments button below your post to the bottom left.you can upload one at a time or few few at a time. You will have to browse to the location of the files, so pla e them somewhere easy to navigate to.

Then once they are uploaded, place your flashing cursor where you would like the first photo to go.

Underneath your post, will be a list of photos that were successfully uploaded.

You get to choose a size for each photo click on that size you want and it should show up where that cursor was.

Tada! You will be a pro at this in no time .
If you have any forum related questions please feel to ask.
