CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

Happy to be part of Coneca and the forum

Hello everyone my name is Tyler. I am a new Coneca member and glad to be part of the forum. I'm also a pretty new collector and searcher of errors and varieties. I just started over the past winter and realized that I love it and have dove head first into it ever since. I've learned so much already, and have found a ton of new ddr's, mainly on quarters. I've sent several pics to the live coin q and a, and they keep telling me I need to come here, so here I am! I'm looking forward to hearing what you have to say about my finds and hopefully get several of them attributed so other people can enjoy looking for them as well. I have a lot of them so you'll be hearing from me a lot lol. I have at least 14 ddr's on the Crossing the Delaware quarter. I can't believe only one has been attributed so far. I also have found several others. Maya Angelou, Sally ride, American memorial park, marsh billings Rockefeller, Lowell, and there's probably more but those are just the ones that I can think of right off that I'm pretty sure ive found new ddr's on. I believe I've just found a ddr on the Wilma mankiller quarter also. I'm loving this hobby and am very happy to be part of Coneca. Can't wait to see what you think of my finds. Most are probably class nines but are still fun to find!!

Welcome aboard. We look forward to seeing some of your finds.
Some of the websites to self attribute some of your findings that may help are:

Die varieties such as doubled dies, Repunched mint marks (RPMs), Over Mint Marks (OMMs), Repunched Dates, Overdates, coin design varieties, as well as regular coins and error coins.

Just a heads up. The forum moderators and staff here like to keep it some what tidy and orderly, so it's one coin per post to cut down on confusion and cross-talk. Another few things that are frowned upon are grading questions for coins that are not graded by third party grading services (ANACS, NGC, PCGS).
This is all listed in the forum protocols.

    Enjoy your stay !
