CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • New to CONECA Hello Everyone !

I am not a paying member of CONACA yet.

I have been collecting coins (American and Mexican) off and on for 40 years. A few years ago I got into varieties. I have discovered about 10 new varieties (attributed by NGC) only one in American coins. I do not stick to any particular denomination. I am at CONECA to learn and give advice when asked.

I do have a coin that has me thinking a lot. NGC #6479267-001 PF67 attributed as an FS-101 but I am not sure. The R is open in TRUST and the S is missing detail in TRUST also. The doubling on the E in WE seems to be different.

I tried uploading photos but it gave me a message that the file is too big. I am low tech.

    Happy Hunting

    Welcome aboard !

Photos need to be 2mb or less. Best type of photo that is jpg.
The width of the forum can handle sizes close to 800 pixels wide, so a photo close to that and under 2mb would have no issues.

If you have any question about the forum or coins in general please let us know,

A friend is Into world coin overdates. Mexico has a few of those.
