CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

    Hello error coin enthusiasts!

I've been a coin collector since I was a child and over the years I've gathered some interesting finds. I joined Coneca forum (i'm not yet a member) because I'm always on the lookout for errors in my change and I happened upon one that I'm not sure what it is. My favorite errors are not subtle but where something is clearly wrong. Off center, or clearly double-die, things like that. Hunting for errors or hidden treasures in my change and cash is a fun exercise and I occasionally sell them online or to coin shops. Because errors are so rare, finding one is kind of a big deal to me.

I'm 45 years old, married 11 years, father of six, interested in passing my interest in coin collecting to my various children.

    Thank you
