CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

    New members introduce yourself

Hello, this is my first time signing on here. I joined last month, but only just had time to get back to this and actually read my welcome letter, check out the free 1 cent RPM, CONECA sent with my membership. Very cool. I learned about this group through the fantastic panel of, Live Coin Q & A on YouTube!! I really need this site to help me learn more, especially the difference between DDO’s/DDR’s vs Machine Doubling, every-time I think I got it, I’m fooled again. I have some nice lamination errors, a few confirmed DDO’s, and think I just got a couple other firsts for me. I’m really into the 2013 $1, Duplicated Serial Numbered notes, and have a large collection of said notes, trying to find their matching serial numbered note. I know this is mainly for coins, but numismatic errors are still errors weather on a coin or a note, right?? Although this error is unique in the manner that 1 note by itself is not an error, but you find the right other note, and alone it’s not an error either, but if you bring both the notes physically next to each other, then they all of a sudden they become an Error, A “Production Error - Duplicated Serial Numbers”. I wonder how that should be listed in this sites Glossary of Error Terms?. Anyways, just wanted to introduce my self and say hello from Las Vegas!!

Welcome SnoopyDoo to the forum. Although this site deals with Varieties and Errors on coins, I too like to collect errors on currency. Looking forward to your post on the forum.
