    Coin collector in training

Hello. I’m new on the forum and my name is Miles. I have been lightly coin collecting with my grandpa for the past few years, but have recently began to educate myself and collecting a little more seriously.
I believe I may have found my first DDR. It is a 1964 Kennedy half-dollar. If I’m viewing this correctly I believe there is doubling in most of the letters in United States of America (some pictures). There also appears to be some at the top of the right wing.
I searched Variety Vista and couldn’t find any like errors for this year of coin. Am I correct that this coin is double stamped? Are all known error coins included on Variety Vista website?
    thank you for your help!

Welcome to the forum Mwilcoxon.....I'm much more into errors than varieties and hope someone that is more versed in varieties can chime in. It looks like machine doubling on most letters but then again it seems like there are some split serifs too, on the bottom of the R and bottom leg of the second A. Usually, the variety will already be listed so you can confirm but it could be a new variety. Wish I could help more.

In my opinion, the area in question is lower and shelf like, so more than likely mechanical damage of some sort.
