CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    New Hunter from California!

    Greetings! I am W. Jeff Karr from deep in the heart of Redwood Country in Northern California. I have recently became infatuated with coin and bill hunting. I am currently NOT a paying member of Coneca but am strongly considering it. I have held on to several coins over the last 30 or so years and just recently began the incredible journey of mint variant and error hunting which includes all coin and and paper denominations in the USA as well as fun foreign fund finds I have found a few examples that are quite intriguing and look forward to joining in conversation in the forums and furthering my knowledge as I build my collection. It is a pleasure to join along side so many others on the hunt.
