Hello, my name is Monica. I am a stay at home mother of three residing in northern Utah. I’ve been coin collecting for a few years now and have accumulated many from simple change as well as purchases on eBay winning a bid or two. I’ve dedicated myself to finding errors and have a small collection I think you all will find interesting. I purchased membership and look forward to learning all I can with the help from the best suitable, knowledgeable and professional coin hoarders out there! ( no disrespect intended ) I jokingly say this but the reality is is that I’m impressed that I found something significant to be part of in which I enjoy and love to do, so thank you kindly for the opportunity.

My apologies for possibly reposting new member introduction. I’m not really good navigating website and want to make sure you all are clear as to why I’m here and what we all not only have in common but how beneficial we can all be to each other if only spreading the love, the love of coin collecting !

Here is list of a few great finds I believe are quite beautiful as well as unique. Please comment because I so welcome and appreciate any input that’s out there. And thank you kindly !

Welcome to the Forum and CONECA. All I can say is WOW! Assuming that your scale is weighing correctly, although a little light for a copper cent, your 1983 appears to be a transitional error. 1983's should weigh 2.5 grams, while 1982 and before cents weigh 3.1 grams except for the zinc ones. I would seriously consider getting this coin certified by a major grading service to confirm its authenticity. Now that I have my composure back, the dime looks to be a die break coming off Rossevelt's hair into the field area. I am not sure what is wrong with the 1970-D cent.

Hello! Thank you for reply, I have been so excited about what I’ve accumulated throughout the years. I weigh all my coins and it’s been time well worth spending.1983 I felt was transitional, my weights are calibrated. I have a 1943 p Jefferson nickel that weighs 4.74 g that’s a really beautiful coin as well but having trouble uploading photos due to 2mp max. I’m retaking pictures of other coins like blank 5 cent planchette i received in a bank roll of Jefferson 2005 Lewis and Clarke nickels, a possible mule Lincoln cent and much more. I thank you for your time. Have a great day and god bless !

I am going to second Zimmy's comment about getting your cent authenticated by a major grading service. It's VERY interesting and potential a very significant find. Do you know how to go about doing that, meaning submitting it for grading?

Thanks for sharing and welcome to CONECA!

Nice, for your error questions this (Coneca) is #1, for your grading questions you can post your pictures to NGC.com, resources>chat>newbie and they will share with you like theses folk did.
you can select NGC from the numismatic site links section at the bottom of the forums page.
