CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

Good morning, everyone. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself as a new member to the forum and also as a new CONECA member (though I am presently waiting for the official new membership information). My name is Jon and I have been collecting coins from nearly every niche topic/series for more than a decade, with the exception of modern bullion issues which I find little interest in. Presently my focus has been primarily in Colombian coinage of the 20th century and the multitude of varieties present in almost every series therein. I've never seen anything quite like it. In conclusion, I've utilized CONECA resources for quite some time and it is nice to finally cross the threshold of becoming registered on the forum and a true member of the organization.
