CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

My name is Robert this is my story and I am sticking to it
I have always been intrigued about coin collecting and only in the last six months have I caught the bug. Coming across a 1942 nickel I had thrown in my change jar over 10 years ago. I finally started researching as it appeared to be only a copper nickel that was just interesting in appearance. Once I dug in to research the nickel I found myself digging thru all of the change in my jar and pulling out our state quarter, cent and nickel collection my wife inherited from her grand father. Numismatics has become an obsession just as fishing, golf and music have become in the past for me. Very glad to have a Forum to participate similar interest!
