Hello! I am a long time coin collector, but newly venturing into the realm of error coins. While not a member of CONECA at this time, I am considering it. I would like to first get a feel for the group, level of information, etc., as well as establishing my own long-term interest in this arena. Like many "newb" collectors, I am sure my eyes will deceive me and cause me to see things that are not really there; however, I am very interested in finding previously undiscovered errors (such as RPM, RPD, MPD, and DD's). The catalyst for me has been my love of Barber dimes and some of the (known) varieties I have discovered of late.

CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.
