CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

I'm new to the forum and just became a member of CONECA this week! I've been collecting for about 15 years now and my true passion is toners. As a photographer specializing in macrophotography, beautifully toned coins quickly became my focus. While I love anything that has excellent toning, a decent portion of my collection consists of mercury dimes with some of my favorites being in old PCGS rattlers. I also collect Lincoln Cents, Jefferson Nickels, commemoratives and (of course) Morgan Dollars. I have just recently became interested in mint errors and look forward to learning from all of you and seeing your collections! I just picked up a few new coins and included their photos below!

Hello and welcome to CONECA and the Forum. I love your coin pics and the beautiful toning. Errors and varieties are certainly fun to collect. Please post some pics of what you have.

I've only just started my journey into error coins and still need to take pictures of the few I have. What is the best forum/topic for posting pictures of errors (as I assume this is not the correct forum topic). The one potential error that is really got me scratching my head is this 1964-D Washington Quarter which appears to have machine doubling on the obverse & reverse, potentially a RPM but what I can't figure out is what appears to be lettering stamped on the obverse under the TY in Liberty. Also, the (what I am assuming is) machine doubling on the reverse in "quarter" appears to have true doubling on the "A". I included a few pictures for reference. The original photos are much higher resolution and allows you to see extremely fine details but i'm unsure how to share those on the forum. They're basically around 15MB up to 40MB in JPG and well over 130MB in DNG format.
