CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • Here's to new discoveries

Hello Everyone. I am a 52-year-old, divorced, female who is new to this hobby. I have a 19 year old daughter who I adore. I am new to coin roll hunting, but have always loved and appreciated the beauty of an old coin. I started metal detecting a few years ago, and my favorite finds to date are an old musketball along with some old shotgun shell headstamps and an old spoon.
Since my daughter moved away, I have found out I truly enjoy coin roll hunting. I like finding wheat pennies and some other oddities. I have started filling in coin albums, but have MANY open slots. I know I am a little late getting to the party. Looking forward to the journey and seeing just how many slots I can fill.

    Welcome aboard.
There are plenty of avenues to find those elusive cents to fill your album.
I have seen more than a handful of Wheat cents when I used to coin roll hunt.
CRH is a cheap way to relax and offer a nearly free "lottery" type event.
You never know what you may find in a roll. Whether you pull a variety type coin or an error, its exciting either way.

I suggest if you roll those coins up and return them back to a bank that you put a mark on the roll that you will automatically recognize as being done before, so you don't simply visit a roll that you have done in the past.

    Happy hunting !
