CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

Hello. I am a new collector. I recently joined the Hobby last year. I have put together a large Lincoln cent collection from coin roll hunting. I also bought 2 bags of 2006 Nevada quarters and was lucky to find 21 strike thru coins. I have just enjoyed looking and organizing the coins. Sometime in the future I may try to sell my strike thru coins so that I can buy more coins! I am located in Northern Pa.

    welcome!

    sounds like a good start?

how "big" are the strike-throughs? the statehood quarters are known for them and there are a plethora of them out there. i think i have a few dozen around here currently. some are abysmal but there are some that are nice and big and double-siders.

since the statehood quarters were issued, i'm pretty sure every years' issue has had strike-throughs and die chips if you look enough. some are very desirable and fetch good prices not that is the most important thing.
