CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

Hello, I am a CONECA and ANA YN. I have been collecting coins for about an year now. I was originally introduced to coin collecting when one of my father's friend left me a bag of world coins from places that he had been to. I sorted them in countries and gave them to some friends. Then, last year, I was bored at home, so I decided to look through our change. I looked through part of it when I found a "penny" from 1909. My brother and I both wanted the coin, so we played a board game and I won and got the coin. So, I went online and googled 1909 penny. And then I saw an option for vdb, so I clicked it and check if my coin was a vdb, it was. So I was happy since it was an old coin and kept it. Later that month, I went to my first coin show and bought a 1943 steel cent which I thought looked very cool and a IKE dollar. Currently, I enjoy collecting Lincoln cent and Lincoln die varieties. I also have a few other errors/varieties. I live in Minnesota. Here is just a brief introduction. I was introduced to CONECA through the ANA.
