Hi - I'm Laura. I started collecting when I was young. While trying to keep the kiddos busy this summer, I pulled out the penny jar and let them sort by decade. We looked at some "older" coins from my father-in-law and then the treasure hunt began. It's been quite a learning journey in a couple of months and excited to know more. And now on the initial money lessons in school, my kids are not answering simple questions of identifying coins, but adding information about attributes!

CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.
