The only things I use are "Cherrypickers Guide" and "Strike it rich with pocket change", both of which have photos for error coins. There is also "The Guide Book of Washington and State Quarters (Official Red Book guide), which is good for historical knowledge of quarters and gives some history of state quarter designs. The rest I just wing it, through experience. There is also a site for quarter overlays to show die clashes and where you would find details from the opposing side of the quarter. the site is http://maddieclashes.com/Statehood_Q...te_Minted.html
