The beautiful tone on this 2021 cent caught my eye. It is different than the other shield cents. Is there a specific reason for the different tone?

Storage or environmental issues. It is a real pretty color though, but not anything worth much.Bob Piazza

I have seen some wild toning on Lincoln Cents still in government holders. From Hershey chocolate to shocking pink, and many colors in between. Sure, temperature may have something to do with it. Most of the Toners I have were pulled out of paper rolls, with the majority of the nicer, even tones coming out of Federal Reserve paper rolls or the String company generic paper rolls.

I checked it out and bookmarked the page. I wish there was a way to check your answers when it tests you on whether it is MD or DDLast edited by Catherine56265; 07-21-2022, 10:05 AM.

Thanks. Working on a several additional posts about error type coins, and then average prices seen on auction houses.
I will add answers near the bottom of the post in the near future. I have a few more tests to add, just need to successfully take the photos.

by JohnnydzI got this 1962 25c Business Strike out of a P&D mint set. On the reverse it has what looks like a CUD where the mint mark should be, but it is right...You do not have permission to view this gallery.
