This is my latest find in a roll of Lincoln Cents I was able to obtain from a Kroger Grocery Store. (hard to get rolls anymore that are not new from banks and credit unions) I was looking at it as it was a 2023 and hoping to find a extra v. This coin had a blue spot on it and I put it under the scope. At first it looked like a CUD but after more examination it had the VDB initials. Why it had bluing on it I do not know but I'm going to leave it on it even if it may devalue the coin. I wouldn't what to use to remove it safely anyhow. Could this be the mystery of how the v has shown up on those 2023 cents. Could this be a die clash that happened or a new hub mis- alignnment? Waitng for a show in Oct. to submit it to a grading service. Thought I would get your opinions first.
