CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    I have this 1987 nickel no mint mark I am new on this I am trying to learn more about doubled died errors coins

    The mint mark should be below and slightly counter clockwise from the 7 of the date. Can you see any indication of it at that location...maybe a light glimpse of it. It could be a filled die.

      I can see what looks to be remnants of a D or maybe the top part of a P, but it could be pareidolia Try different angles of light. I would agree with a filled die
