    1940D RPM-001 mercury?

This is a 1940D Mercury Dime. I'm thinking I match the RPM-001 D/D. Does the position of the mint mark match in the zoomed out photo? 1940D merc date.png 1940D merc position.png 1940D merc closeup.png

I'm thinking RPM 007 might be a better match. Is this the defect in the "M" of America that is referenced in the stage B photos? Thanks for your thoughts.

      Evening Ron,
I don't believe this one is listed in the original Coneca files. I would take a look at 1940-D Wexler RPM#009. See if any of those marker's show on your coin.
      Thanks, Eric

Thank you Eric. The Wexler RPM#009 looks to be a better match! I am posting a photo from the Wexler site of additional pick up points next to one from my coin. Are the circled areas the focus point that would guide me to confirmation that I have found the right RPM?

          Afternoon Ron,
The die gouge looks a bit fuller, but is in the correct location. I cannot tell from your coin's condition if the lower serif of the "E" in "States" is doubled. ""W009 also has a DDR" I can see that part of the DDR in Wexler's photo's. Your coin may also have a little MD on that upper serif of the "S". So i'm on the fence. It is the closest we have to an accurate attribution.
