In my opinion, this does look promising. I haven't dug into each ddr to see what one will match up to yours yet. Maybe Eric or OCC can assist. It's a bit late here and I am in need of a long sleep. It's been a long day/night.
If some one hasn't confirmed it by noon on Tuesday, I might have time to assist a little more. The coin colle ting hobby definitely has its disappointments and rewards. Let's hope this is a winner.

Is there any doubling on QUARTER DOLLAR on the reverse ?
Variety Vista description of DDR 005 might fit. DDR 007 to me does not seem to match. It could be the photos on the variety vista site. I will have to revisit in a few hours.

No hurry, Gary. I’ve been searching a long time for a “proper” DD error coin and if this 1964 Washington 25C turns out to be one, it would be worth the wait. I am at Mayo Clinic prepping for ankle replacement surgery tomorrow, but I did bring my small scope. The good equipment is at home so I apologize for the photos. On further examination I did notice notching on “E PLURIBUS UNEM” but little or no notching in QUARTER DOLLAR”. You may be able to see something different. Again, I appreciate you thanks for working with me on this.

Best I could do with this scope camera. If there’s still questions, I will be happy to review any other parts of the coin you want me to address, Thank you again Gary!

I can see some separation at the topsof the letters, especially in USA. might be 005 like I said earlier. Thats from the variertvista description. The tablet is the only way I can zoom in and effectively see some hope.
You can always ask for assistance from CONECA Staff by putting a post in coneca services, under the attributions union area. Add as much info in text and photos as possible. This way, they can assess what you see in one post. Multiple replies may take a while as they probably visit multiple people before returning to your post.

Just my 2 Cents
there is a cross reference to the -005;
CONECA: 4-R-V.
Cherrypickers: FS-25-1964-804
there are a few different varieties aswell that have the lower bust break on Obv and doubling check some of the go markers of reverse such as wing or othe breaks or gouges it’s hard to give a good Id without proper examination of listings but I believe your subject coin is a variety, although I am not the expert but 64 has been my key study in hand . Love to see new pieces to the puzzle
Good luck
Thanks for sharing looking forward to the verdict

I know what you are going through as far as the surgery side. A family member went through a procedure like that recently. Their recovery period was about 2 to 3 months. Hope all goes well and its a speedy recovery.
Your description above is why I am leaning towards DDR 005, since the varietyvista description does not mention QUARTER DOLLAR.
If you find the time to post this under CONECA SERVICES, under attributions it may solve the riddle. You might even be able to ask them to visit this post, since photos and a light assessment has already been done.

Agreed would love for some good pictures I for several years have a few rolls with a sequence goin on the Variety and would love to find more pieces to see where they all fall so to speak in the grand picture of the variety or what it later may be determined of listing as I also have troubles with the proper clarification of forums proper still a lot to learn.
I haven’t posted anything yet still working on getting better quality photos my self and want be a little more complete of what’s what in my subject coins
Thanks to Both of you for your contributions

I agree with the comments above. This is a Double Die Reverse. I'm busy this week, coin show today and Dr Appointments with daughter tomorrow so I'm not much help either. I will say that the two posts may just be different die states of the same DDR. They could also be differnet DDR's. I noticed from the photo's the strongest PUP "Pick Up Point" appears to be near the TES of States. I would photograph both the coins - in the exact same position - and lighting, focus so they could be overlayed. Alot of work yes but that is how someone can tell if the same variety different die state. Plus Markers - if you have one marker that stays the same across both die states then the coins are probably the same die.
I would post the photo's in the Coneca Services / Attribution Service - ""See prices"" for the cost of attribution each coin.
