CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • 1955-D extra eyelid(#2post)

Now the other post had an extra eyelid north of the original hubbing towards rear away from the nose @ approx 4-5mm.
This one is in front "LIKE" (DDO-002) which makes it questionable but might explain why the PUP'S are not there as well.

for my part, while i do see what that sorry excuse of an arrow (sorry rotfl) is pointing at, i'm not sure i can give you a diagnosis and this coin will probably have to be looked at by a pro. if it is one, it is probably new but obviously the odds of that are low but worth a try nonetheless.

sometimes getting discoveries on this era of coins (especially at this point in history after all the eyes looking at existing coins) you are subject to the monkey-poo theorum.

hope the best and let us know!

while the close-up is over-exposed, it is good lighting and pretty good tbh. nice goin'! - looks like the lighting is coming from the west (left) as the shadows are on the right of the devices. fwiw

There are 12 of these on coppercins.com. If they know what they’re doing they’ll call this the 13th, looks to me. Not really impressed with these DDOs, I have to say. Handsome coin, though, really like it.
