If I remember correctly, there are two 1969 S Lincoln cent doubled dies that have been documented. You can find them at http://varietyvista.com .
One of the examples shows doubling that can see withe the naked eye, it's that dramatic. The other variety shows around the date, but it is far less than DDO-001.
In my opinion, this looks like a well circulated coin with some sort of worthless doubling like mechanical doubling, or it was struck with a set of extremely worn out working dies. The 1969 year showed a lot of worthless doubling coins. The years 1969. 1970, 1971 and 1972 had their fair share of die problems.

The photos you have above are blurry, I can barely make out anything. If your holding a phone and attempting to take photos, I suggest you try putting a box on a table. Place the coin on table. Place the phone on the box, turn the camera app on and zoom in and focus on the coin and not the holder. Hold phone down on the box, steady with one hand and gently tap the shutter button.Last edited by MintErrors; 11-26-2024, 02:52 AM.Gary Kozera

Hi .i looked at the second variety of the 69 s .Lincoln you mention.but the second variety i don't see any doubling like mine. click on the God photo and enlarge look at the huge noticeable doubling going towards the bottom of lettering. My doubling shows downward overlaping not side by side overlap
