    2023 Lincoln cent extra V

I found a 2023 Lincoln cent with the extra V. Near the initials tdy. Where could I find a population report and price guide for this particular error?
I happened to find a 2023 DDR Lincoln cent The doubling is pretty. I’ll include some photos of that one as well.
    thnx

    Joe,
I think you'll get more responses in the die variety forum instead of the die variety image Gallery.

Just so you know, the CONECA forum rules say one coin per post, so I will address the population question.

In my opinion, the first places I would look are the third party grading services. NGC (ngccoin.com) and PCGS (pcgs.com) have either population or census info. The issue here is.... do they recognize it as an error or variety? If they do, it will be listed.
      • For PCGS, you have to go to the population report.
      • At the top of the pop report page are TABS for particular grades. Choose the grades you would like to see listed. Careful, they have more than one category as well, like, MS or Proof or possibly Satin Proof. Make sure the right one of those is chosen as well.
      • From there find the year of the coin.
      • If the list does not make it all the way to the end, you have to find a drop down menu to the bottom left of the last coin listed and change the drop down from 50 or 100 to ALL. It will then list all the years
      • Once you find the year and mint mark, there will be a small PLUS (+) sign next to the date. Click on that plus sign if there is one. It will open up a list of varieties that PCGS recognizes and may give pricing on some of them. Additionally to the left of the date and mint mark will be a number in blue. That is another place that will give some info on the coin in question.

NGC usually just has a button - or did that listed "varieties" you click on that button and it pops open a new page. to close that window simply find the X at the top right of that box and click on it to close the box.

ANACS has pop reports too. You have to have an account on the ANACS (anacs.com) website and then you can access the population report. It typically is self explanatory.
There are two pages. The second page usually shows the MS section and there you can get an idea how many of each coin type was graded. They separate their regular coins and the detail grades.

Values can be found on PCGS and NGC. ANACS does not give values. These website arent the best to get a solid value what they are worth, but the only other way is to research all sorts of auction houses to see what ones have SOLD for, not what people are asking for it.

FYI, The "Extra V" is listed in PCGS. Dunno about the other TPG's.
