Where did you come up with FS-101?
I don't see any DDR's at all on VarietyVista and none on https://coneceaonline.info for 1973-D.
The word "HALF" appears to be some sort of machine damage, aka worthless doubling. The word appears thinner, and step like, a good sign its damage from the minting process and not a DDR.

This coin was 52 years ago. The working die that struck the reverse of this coin also hammered out several hundred thousand of the exact same coin. IF this was a DDR, it would have been found and documented long ago. I believe in the resources. If it isnt listed as called, its got to be something else.
In my opinion, its still machine damage related. The article below has photos of a Kennedy Half Dollar with machine damage.

I have a proof Lincoln with an extreme machine doubling that it looks too crazy to be true. IF I can locate the photos, I will add a single phto here for educational purposes.
If you believe this to be a doubled die, place a post under coneca services, under attributions. A CONECA staff member will respond to your inquiry.
Thats all I got for this coin.Last edited by MintErrors; 03-21-2025, 07:29 AM.Gary Kozera

it is VERY rare for ddo/ddr etc to be this strong, so that is your first clue it is most likely not a variety.
with this width, it would be more likely to be an error coin BUT it is neither variety or error, at least the area pictured. i didn't scour the coin rev/obv.
