CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

OK confusion. why does the title say this: 1966 1C DDR FS-801 penny
DDR means Double Die Reverse. The close ups you have posted are from the Obverse Die. Since you posted a close up of 1966 did you mean Double Die OBV? It takes me a long time to clean up your posts. Please slow down and post correctly. If I do not hear a response from you, I will quit responding to your posts.

        Evening solsgt54,
If you meant DDO then the only one I see in the Cherry pickers guide sixth edition vol 1 is FS-01-1966-101 / Coneca DDO-001, I was made aware a month ago that the volume had been updated. If you have the new volume and i'm out of turn, please correct me! I'll have to go buy the book!

Anyway these are my thoughts on this coin.: 1966_Coneca.jpg
What I have the arrows to could be a very minor DDO. BUT without seperation of any of the digits its hard to justify, to me this would be very hard to list. I'm just saying that the seperation on a worn coin, or a later die state would not be easily verified. In other words a coin like this doesn't have much to go with, and could be easily confused with alot of other 1966 cents.

I will say to you exactly what I was told a few times in the past. Don't cringe but ""Not enouph to prove"" a variety or "To minor to list""
I'm just trying to help, and hopefully save you a few $$ down the road. It's your call - You can post a photo for John to also view in the Coneca Services part of the forum.
