1973S 1C broken MM punch, then RPM.

This was from my time buying San Francisco Federal Reserve rolls of 1973S cents off of an ebay seller.

1973S proof cents were only prone to have an upper slight rpm.

I was able to find both the broken punch in that spot and also a circulated rpm correcting the broken punch.

The first photo is the broken punch.

    Hello Signofthedimes,
The very last photo, bottom right is interesting. Can you take a whole date / mintmark photo showing that upper loop? Looks like there are no buisness struck dies with RPM's. All are proofs. If it is, it's a nice find.
I would like to see more of the top and the upper serif.
    Thanks,
    Eric

Sorry those to me, my oppinion don't help. A close up like these, with the light facing towards the top serif and curve of the upper part of the mintmark is what I wanted to see. This one looks alot like the already listed proofs for 1973-S, except it is a buisness strike. You can post the photo's in the attributions part of the furum - I would add a whole Date / Mintmark photo within the same photo, then also a close up of what I asked for above. The next question is - have you looked at the attribution prices on page 3 of Errorscope? Then decide if you want to send the coin to an attributer.
        I hope this helps
        Eric

Remember that we are discussing a working die. I have not found anywhere proof that the San Francisco Mint used a proof Mintmark Punch - I spent only a small amount of time looking but I cannot verify that. So the upper serif from a working die should look different. This is what i'm looking for: plus I also need to see the whole date.
          Thank You

Those are the only remaining pictures on my Yahoo Email photos from a few years ago. It was an exceptional coin, I tried sending it to PCGS at a minimum grade of ms67+ but was rejected. I really wanted the stand alone best grade. It was put into regular worldly coin circulation in the CoinStar machine. Nobody really gave it any reaction at all, so...

Ok those are great but the pixels of the photo's are to small when I blow them up. I think it maybe listable. You just need to decide if you want to send it in.
Then post in the attributions part of the forum. 1973-S_Coneca_WC_Obv.jpg 1973-S_Coneca_Date-M.M.jpg
