1944 D over S ???

Hello Out There,

Looking for some input on this coin. Came across this one by noticing what looked like the bottom of the "S" mint mark, marked 3 under the "D" mint mark. Took out my cut down Camel hair brush and using a little water was able to uncover what also looks like the center of the "S" Mint mark running thru the center of the "D" which is marked 1, also a piece of "S" coming out the west side of the "D", marked 2

The second pic is the same just using more contrast to try and show the inside of the D mint mark.

The pictures aren't the best but its all I could do.

What do you think, if the pictures show up alright
