    1835 1/2C DDR

This 1835 1/2C looks to be doubled in "C" of Half Cent. The upper part of "C" has a split sherif (red circle).
"L" in LIBERTY appears to be grease struck as well.

Fact: since1795 the penny it's cost more to produce that it's face value plus the dime thru dollar coins, commeratives and BEP is the money makers so we've been dealing with this for awhile now nothing new Donny.

    Nice 1/2C!

The double 'C' may be a Cohen 1 marker (https://www.pcgs.com/coinfacts/coin/...hen-bn/35288)? I have one as well that has the same C and L - though I never noticed the doubling before now. The missing lower L may be common across both C1 & C2 (https://www.ngccoin.com/variety-plus...1836/811427/)?

Looking a little deeper, the double 'C' actually occurs quite often in this series - was able to find examples from 28-35 that all have a double 'C' in cent
