1964-D Nickel Mintmark ID
I consulted Variety Vista and PCGS images to see if I could find a match, as this mintmark variety is stumping me. Does anyone know what variety this is? Thanks muchYou do not have permission to view this gallery.

Check Brian's varieties. That website, both listings and items for sale is loaded with photos.
If there is not a match there, then its probably something else.

Hello Gillian,
What I see to the north is the punch itself indention into the planchet. 1964-D's nickels were really bad for this. With the damage to the north, this also being a circulated coin I cannot completely agree that this could be an RPM to the EAST near the outer loop. Ive seen alot of these in Later die states that have the same thing going on. I'm on the side of caution without a serif to prove RPM. I wouldn't send in.
Just my thoughts.
Eric
