1901-S Half Eagle: Some Kind of Hub Issue?

I recently acquired this coin and noticed some very interesting stuff going on here. What first caught my eye was the obverse die crack, then I saw the first star had some light doubling going on. "LIBERTY" is also showing some shifting, but not very drastic. Flipping it over and checking the reverse, well, that's pretty much the purpose of this post.

In the motto, the "D" shows doubling with clear separation of the serifs, the second "T" (in trust) also has a doubled top-left, along with very light doubling throughout the rest of the motto. There is also very light doubling to be seen throughout the reverse, which leads me to my questions about this coin. While looking at other graded specimens on Coinfacts, I noticed a good many (practically all of them) that have this same thing going on, so was this a master hub type of issue or something further down the line? Am I just not looking in the right places for varieties of this specific mintage, or did I happen to notice something that has been overlooked for more than a century? Or even a more likely outcome, am I just misinterpreting what I believe to be clear signs of doubling?

Any kind of help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have tried to reply to this post four (now 5) times and each time the forum had issues, so this will be sort of quick. I checked ngc variety-plus and also pcgs. The only thing listed for this denomination is a overdate (1901/0) the overdate being quite scarce. Another variety, a large S over a small S RPM exists.

The die crack is might have had something to do with this potential variety, although its difficult to tell.

I like to see the full obverse and reverse of a coin to assess whats going on, it can help prove or debunk certain situations. I have a article in my signature block foe photos with a cell phone.

There is also issues with the banner area where some of the doubling appears.

I am not questioning the authenticity of the coin, but there are a good number of fakes out there, so just be careful when obtaining gold coins. NGC did an article focusing on like the top fifty most counterfeited coins and if I remember correctly, a wide selection of gold coins were the majority on the list.

Here's the whole-coin pictures, sorry for not attaching them earlier. This coin is graded and in a PCGS rattler. I'll see if I can get some better pictures later today to add in, too. I was just trying to show the areas with the clearest examples and totally forgot to add the remaining pictures!
