CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

I do believe so, besides what appears to be notching in the liberty picture. The left arm spreading of the "Y" also leaves reason to believe.

you should work on difussing the lighting. The Member's of this Forum can't and won't determine anyone's coin's because of the bright light's. I hope this helps.

I am tempted to say it is mechanical. The perceived doubling on the L of LIBERTY (the horizontal crossbar) is N-S, while the rest is E-W. The letters do not show any of the additional thickness I would associate with this if it were a doubled die. I could be wrong too, but it definitely needs an in hand inspection for verification. I could do that for you if you are willing to send it to me.

I would say it's a doubled die There are alot of indications I see notching on the Y and T of liberty there's also extra thicknes on some of the letters IN GOD WE TRUST has nice separation and raised images. The only thing is the date seems like some Machine doubling but not sure with that. i would say this is a doubled die.I indicated were the notching is in red. GOOD FIND

                  Hello Bob,
I have not received your email on how to send this coin to you yet. Just wondering if you have already sent it and I may have deleted it by accident if it went to my junk mail. Sorry if I did.
                  Thank you,
                  Edward M.
