After a second look ( I magnified your photos), I can see notching on some of the letters. So, it is a DDR. I also compared it to the CPG pictures and it does seem to be the same. Nice find.Member of: ANA, CCC, CONECA, Fly-in-club, FUN, NLG & T.E.V.E.C.

I agree with BJ. When I first looked at your dime on another forum I thought MDD...but after I also enlarged the photos I could see the notching and thought it to be from a doubled die. The CW doubling on the M of AMERICA sure does look like MDD, but the rest seems to be from a doubled die. Like I told you on another forum, you should send it to James Wiles. He says in the listings that he is looking for a specimen to study and photograph...that is if it is a DDR-001.
