1956 Franklin Half possible DDR-001 FS-801?
The search continues and I ran across a 1956 Franklin Half. I had sent it in to PCGS to get Gold Shield and TrueView imaging and just got it back. The coin is a PR68CAM Type 2 with stunning contrast and some light toning. PCGS number 02850524. All of the perimeter lettering on the reverse looks puffy and enlarged. EPU is also looks separated. No significant die markers mentioned. Any thoughts or comments?Tags: None

I looked at all the photo's and I looked at Variety Vista and the CPG. Yours appears to be to the left of AMERICA within the motto and FS-801 appears more to the south, The only separation I can see is maybe above the CA of America. It's not FS-801- You may have a new DDR if it's considered list able.

I have also attached a picture of what appears to be a die chip by the bottom left leg of the A in 'HALF'. Would this become a die marker for a later stage?Last edited by rbroederer; 03-08-2021, 07:48 PM.
