CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    This appears to be the big 1969S DDO. If it is, it commands a very big premium and should be conserved and authenticated. There are many counterfeits out there, so it needs to be examined to find out if it is the real deal. Good Luck.

        How many coins are we looking at here? The first several photos are almost certainly of a DDO-001 (I photographed an example a week ago - see below). The whole coin shot - is that the same coin? That coin I am not sure about. The corrosion appears to be in different places.
