CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

1929-P and 1929-S Mercury Dime DDO

1929-P Obv Date DDO.jpgI've emailed VarietyVista before, and James is really already guy... I didn't see that he had a 29-P listed, and I think he was at some.point in time looking for additional pics of the S... he directed me here... so, my first non introductory post.

I just started reviewing my varieties and may have others to ask about such as a 1916-P that is supposed to be a DDO... I've yet to find the DDO yet... I'll keep checking...

What this post is about would be the subject coins. Both have a very obvious doubling of the date and the P has an obvious double on the W in 'We'... and I'm thinking the E as well... and maybe some of the other letters...

I haven't had alot of luck with taking pictures, but I'll give it a shot...

    Thoughts?

    Clear Skies!

Those photos are fine Jeff. It appears that this coin is MD though.

You were fine posting this here. You thought it might be a variety, and this is the correct forum for it.
