1961 D 1C tear drop in the L serif of T in the Cent

mustbebob I beg your pardon in advance, for using the term, or name [tear drop] for this particular Lincoln cent which was later used for the 1964 Kennedy half dollar (4) hence, I am making a point here in respect to the high resolution & amazing photography by the {PCGS TrueView} professionals, where nothing could hide from the scope of your naked eyes. Forgot the rest of the characteristics of this particular coin. I want you all to pay attention to the top south left serif of the [T] in cent? How amazing is this (tear drop) + how clearly one could see the { FG } initials.

Any given forum has a limit on the size of an image.

Is this your coin? I am not sure I want to see photos from websites that are not the person's who is uploading them.

You can try and call an anomaly whatever you want, but if it is not naked eye visible, I do not see it catching on.

1 = I am an active software development engineer in test { SDET}, and worked with software developers on many projects. A software developer could change the code, and increase the uploading size, not a big deal for them.

Is this your coin? I am not sure I want to see photos from websites that are not the person's who is uploading them.

2nd = I appreciate your sense of humour by questioning me for the coin for which I uploaded the certificate number in the first post. I do not like impersonating, or stealing others possessions ( that’s clearly not me. However, I like your sarcasm for questioning my integrity At the same time; In the IT world, we call the alert you got (bug). It has been setup by the developers like that, on the other hand; this is the msg which was used in the code by the developers , if it was to exceed the uploading limits? Again developers can fix this bug easy.

I like straight shooters, and have great deal of respect for them. That has been said; If you do not want me to get engaged in this forum anymore, I could easily pullback by deleting my user account with dignity, integrity, and honesty. There is no need for an excuse!

I didn't realize it was your coin.

This whole thread is focused on a tiny die chip and die crack. I don't think the Mint would have considered this to be an error as it is just too small.

I am asking Peter to respond about the image size question.

While we can appreciate your SDET expertise and software development/testing, we hope you can see that server/forum management is a separate issue from what you do. Forums are the end users of software that was developed, tested and released with built in, developer approved limitations and suggestions.

Your right, it's not a big deal to adjust upload sizes but it's not going to happen for a number of reasons. No public forum anywhere will allow image files over a specific size to be uploaded and stored. Our upload specs are based on usage. We have to manage this space with considerations of bandwidth, page access and storage space to make it work for everyone at the same time. Managing access to 50,000 images in thousands of threads and making them available quickly while not crashing the box all come into play. Even smaller sizes can bloat a system let alone at higher/larger resolutions. Sites like PCGS which are for profit can spend thousands a month managing their space and image files while CONECA is a non-profit staffed by volunteers that has a budget supported by membership.

Your uploads at our maximum size seem more then adequate to see the die chip on the "T" and I'm puzzled why posting an even larger hi res TrueView image would be more helpful for us to see the details you point out on your coin. It would only slow the page load time down even more for anyone trying to view them and I'm tempted to further limit image sizes after I tested this pages load time.
