CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

        Of course we can get someone elses opinion. I figured that was coming. We will leave this here to see what other people say.

        It is very common that people don't like it when our response doesn't meet with their expectations. Been dealing with it for decades now. What this does not do is explain why you are unwilling to research this stuff. If you don't know what a variety is, how can you expect to know if I (or anyone else) is right or wrong?

        FYI, I have over 53 years experience on Lincoln Cent Varieties, including attributing over 3,000 different varieties. Just putting that out there. Please be patient while we wait for other responses.

                  Looks like tilted or rotated hub doubling to me? No one likes this because no one has found one before I get it.

                        Kid...the coin was just struck with very worn dies, with lots of abrasion making the features appear doubled.

                          I agree with Bob and Ray -- this show die deterioration. I'm going to post Jasons' article on the 9 types of Classes in our Education section. It gives a detailed description of each type of die variety that can be produced and hope this help everyone looking to identify the type of variety they have and how it was created.

                            Want my opinion? That's a NORMAL COIN. Yes, there is some die wear, and that's it.
