  • 2005-P California State 25C: Could this be a new variety?

I recently found 44 coins with the same errors, with 3 only being the obverse error, and 1 having a small 2nd error under the Y in valley. But the other 40 pretty much the exact same as the obverse with some slightly shorter or longer and all with the reverse die chip on the N.

Could this be a new variety, or do varieties have to be Doubled dies. Any info or advice will be greatly appreciated

It would stand to reason that all of the coins with the same anomaly were struck from the same die. Seems like the obverse has a die gouge, and the reverse has a die chip. They are pretty common so there is no premium associated with them.
