  • Possible 1961-D Quarter RPM?

Hello! I was looking closely at a group of junk silver that came by the local coin shop, and I'm not sure if what I found is an RPM. It is on a 1961-D quarter, and I was unable to match it with any known RPMs... thank you in advance for any assistance or perspective!

    Best,
    Christian

I am thinking that it may just be some MD (machine doubling), but let's see what mustbebob has to say.

It does indeed appear to be MD. Is there any way you can get a closeup photo of the mintmark?

Thank you for your response - was what I feared (no clear serifs). It is at my local coin shop but will follow up when I can get my hands on the coin again.
