CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

Here’s one with a rim bur. Definitely doubled and much thinner than all other examples out there.

Not even going to get into pareidolia with you. Your argumentative history is the reason why. There is no die two because there is only one known doubled die for this date that they recognize.

It could be a very rare numismatic pareidolia variety.

This 17 has a thinner date, and a rim bur! I’m not going to find any examples of this attribution mark on any site, PCGS, Wexler, Potter, Daughtry, Variety Vista, cherry-pickers guide, or NGC! I’ve checked all of them. There has to be another die for the /17 DDO. I can’t conclude that there is or isn’t by records. I don’t have access to that! Somebody does in this forum! I go by what I see. This has to come from the master die. How can this be attributed, without costing me an arm and a leg. I don’t even want to coin back! I just want it documented. I believe there’s still a lot work left with attributing overlooked die varieties. I just wanna be a part it! I started this 39 yrs ago. Quit for about 15 years. Military, family, school, etc. i’ve been reading and studying every everyday for the past 15 yes. Buying rolls and boxes from the bank. And I have two coin shops there let me search the entire inventory. I don’t even have to purchase a coin to sell it. They were open sign it to me because I’m trusted. I know you don’t know me, like who is this guy and where did he come from. So I totally get why attributer’s Will brush me off. Hopefully we can find some common ground here! Work together! This is just a passion for me. I have found some pretty cool stuff. It’s all controversial until documenteded. I’m a member of the Missouri Numismatics Society! I’ve just been hiding in the shadows! A lot of it spent teaching people on Facebook! I got people that are constantly coming to me. Maybe become a member of the ANA. Unless there’s another class that I’m not aware of. I want to contribute not fight and argue!

A thinner date has nothing to do with the Master die. The Master die will make the working hubs which will make the working dies. In this case, there would be thousands and thousands of these out there. You seem to think this is something unique, and it just is not.
Nobody wants to argue with you either, but you make that difficult. You need to trust that there are other people who know a thing or two about this hobby and maybe...just maybe...you are incorrect in your rationale.
