CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    Hello again. Would you please take a look at my 1970-s large date cent and give me your professional opinion to verify I do indeed have the DDO FS-101 variety? I’m sending it off in a bulk submission and just want a second pair of eyes professional eyes to confirm. I feel pretty sure I’ve got it right but it never hurts to check. Thank you so much! You guys have a great thing going on here and it is appreciated!

    I am afraid this is not the 1970S DDO-FS01. This coin lacks any doubling that should be extremely strong on the genuine doubled die.

    It should look exactly like the one in the link I have below:

      Hi Bob,
      You we’re right. I DIDNT have FS-101. After spending some time going through markers in the different attributes I found DDO-005 was where I met all the markers for that attribute. Thank you. That saves me from grading that coin. Here are some better pics and thank you again!
