  • 2021 P peace dollar

Got my new peace dollar in the mail today & it's beautiful! I put it under the microscope & see these unusual marks on the 1st few Tiera rays. I only bought 1 & don't have a point of reference for comparison. Is this a possible die variety or are they all like this? I can't get the full coin in the photo but can work something out if appropriate.

Adding full coin photos. Bob- your thoughts?
I know silver dollars are their own breed of coin and have a special following. Funny semi-related story. When I 1st started trying to understand coin errors I thought I would start with silver dollars because they were big and I thought I would be able to find the defects easier... I had an uncirculated roll of 1922 peace dollars + quite a few circulated ones. I quickly learned that there are hundreds of VAM's for just this one coin! I quickly became overwhelmed and put them aside and have not returned to silver dollars 3 years later. Perhaps this will inspire my return to the topic.

I really do not have a clue on this coin. I have not seen one in hand either. I did manage to grab the link for the US Mint's high resolution phots where you can zoom right in on the coin. There is a little detail on those rays you point out, but not like what you have. I am inclined to believe they are just stray marks on the coin. It certainly doesn't appear to be anything hub related.
