    1935 D WRPM-008?

Do you think my 1935 D buffalo nickel and Wexlers WRPM-008 are a match? I included the coin and the Wexler 008 pictures for your convenience. Thanks for your review and comments.

I think yours is MD or deterioration.

I agree with MD. Notice that the entire upper third of your coin is thinner than the variety and the doubling cuts into the mint mark.

For RPM's its vital that the look is exactly the same, since the material to make the RPM's is set in metal. As the die ages, the look may change slightly, but in all honestly, it has to look almost exact to make a match. Do not forget about any PUP (pick up points) or markers (die scratches, die gouges, die chips or other items) that some websites will show. Those are important for sealing the deal on a match - if your coin is of that same die stage. For RPM's, close is not close enough in most cases. Scrutinize those photos and in doing so, it opens up another important layer towards attributing these coins yourself. = )
