Yes yes yes!!! Brilliant.... That's acting smartly and not giving myself to the wolves. Because at this level it become vicious. Sending in one coin first seems to be the smart play on top of trying to sell them on my own.

I'm happy to help, and I'm sure Bob will be along too, but first, let's all take a deep breath and calm the hell down. Spasmodism won't help anyone.

Let me start with this. Kloccwork is an expert on Lincoln cents. You can trust his judgement. Bob will hopefully also chime in soon with his expertise. We've heard it all thousands of times, and it gets tiresome, so forgive the short fuse at times. For me, I have to wonder how many SMS cents you have to compare this to? Your photos have a LOT of glare which makes it difficult on us. I'm sure there are a few of us willing to look at it in hand before you spend a bunch spending it to a tpg. Anyway, my advice is to solicit Bob's take first and foremost. Then, go from there.

I don't see this coin as a CAM. I also checked out your site. You’re trying to sell a normal business strike looking dime as a 1966 DCAM PR69 for $2500!!!! For me, there's no telling you what you have because you already made up your mind. Listing the dime on your site as that, along with ALL the other coins on there, shows me you have no idea what you’re talking about. You throw around CAM and DCAM but I don't see either. I also don't see doubling. Thats the reason I don't want anything to do with this.

Will, I'm no expert but I think you said that on purpose trying to trap me. Lol I don't like people enough to be an expert. Just real knowledgeable in Lincolns with top notch common sense, which is very scarce nowadays.

You got something to say, just say it keyboard warrior. Don't play coy like this is your domain and people that come in and ask questions are worthless. How many purple hearts do you have? how many War accommodations do you have? How about we play who has the best medals in their collection? I bet my mind are better. You better believe you get them all and thank God for it in this great country of ours you get them all pal!

I came here to learn if you don't like what I have then don't comment you don't have to look at anything I post not one thing. Please stay out of my posts.
          I already said it.
lolololol. This guy is special for sure, just not his coins.

I am sorry it has taken me a while to chime on on this post. I got hit with Covid this week and I would rather be sleeping. Anyway, It looks like the rest of the membership has things well in hand, but I will put my two cents in on a couple of things. Based on the photos, this coin is not deep cameo. You can see that easily. Second, I can not verify the variety based on those photos. We would like to see closeups of some of the devices that clearly show the separation. We have some great photos on Variety Vista of the variety you mention. Once we can verify the variety, we can move on from there. Until then, this is just another coin from a Special Mint Set of which there are many. Third...The membership is correct in that we want only one coin per post. All the other coins are useless to us when considering the cent. If you have not already done so. please see the sticky's concerning the forum protocol.
Finally, and most importantly, don't base anything on what you remember from 11 years ago. The coin market is fluid and things change constantly. If you know what you are doing, attributing a coin to a specific variety is not too difficult. There are plenty of examples now that the Internet is in play. Years ago, that wasn't the case. However, you must remember that in order to verify any variety, EVERYTHING concerning the doubling must match. We can't have things like 'It looks like, or It's close to'...it must be exact. The purpose of this forum is to help verify that the photos may have a variety on them. We can not do that without good photos and specifics on what you are seeing. Since you have the coin in hand, match it with the one shown here:

            http://www.varietyvista.com/01b%20LC...966PDDR001.htm

Also, as some have already mentioned, we receive lots and lots of claims of 'holy grail' coins, especially from people who are not that educated in the hobby. I can tell you that close to 99% of those either turn out to not be what they expected, or people get so embarrassed that they don't return here to tell us, or show us the results of the authentication. Please temper your enthusiasm until we can get you a firm answer based on good photos and science.

Also remember that things should not get personal here. A lot of real good and extremely knowledgeable people have already addressed this post. Many of them I have known for years. Put that together with my personal experience of over 50 years, and we can pretty well guarantee that what we come up with concerning any coin here, is probably the right call. We won't call this one until we can get some better photos. Please help us help you.
