CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    1972P DDO FS-108 Lincoln cent

    My latest addition to the error stack. Pretty certain it will grade at least RD-AU. Just added microscope photos. Unfortunately it does show circulation wear which is strong around LIBERTY. Otherwise, happy about having it in my collection.

    It looks promising from a distance. Most if not all the 72 DDO's show LIB in Liberty doubled as well.

      LIB is doubled too. I just didn't photograph it. Will add three or four scope pics soon.

            Nice coin to add to any collection. Technically, this is considered a Variety...not an error.

                Definitely a DDO. Didnt check to see which one but I have so many of these, I think you’re right. Can see all the doubling just fine. Hopefully if you sent it to get graded, it was ANACS. Any other one would be too expensive to grade that coin.

                  Thanks. I already matched it with the die markers to FS-108. And I generally send all my Varieties or error coins to ANACS. Only super rare high grade varieties get sent to PCGS.
